Red Tree Gallery was opened in May 2015 by local artist Laurie Collins. Having retired from teaching, Laurie chose to work full time at his art, though he had been creating for years, since completing a course in Arts and Craft at Melbourne State College.  The course covered subjects such as painting, drawing, woodcraft, sculpture, printmaking, metal craft, textiles, design, art history, psychology and more which helped Laurie to further develop his passion for all things art.

Initially, the gallery was designed to show Laurie’s small works and has grown to include works from various artists throughout the Gippsland region and beyond. Of the many things to do in Gippsland, a visit to Red Tree Gallery and the adjoining sculpture garden is a must.

The Gallery is onsite at Laurie Collins Sculpture Garden in a beautiful area of Regional Victoria, the Gippsland town of Jindivick. So if you’re looking for an easy day trip from Melbourne, or after new things to do in Gippsland, Red Tree Gallery opens daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Interested in displaying your artwork at our Gippsland-based art gallery?

At present, we charge $50 a week for a show (month and month about) with a 10% commission. Work is taken down on the last Wednesday of the month and new work is hung on the last Thursday of the month with variations for calendar and personal reasons if required.
